I used to live in a very pricey condo in a prestigious neighborhood. For some reason, a family of possums took residence under my neighbor's home. She was literally terrified, so afraid that she would awaken in the middle of the night to find one stalking her at the edge of her bed or something....
They are harmless, a nuisance for city dwellers, yes...but harmless.
